
We are often asked why we named our restaurant the Pearl. Once you visit us we hope the answer is somewhat obvious.
We are tucked away, almost hidden in the shell like surrounding of a historic hotel made of concrete and brick. Once you enter, we hope you feel that you have discovered something rare, something special and beautiful, like the ocean gem.
Our ambiance mirrors our cuisine, it is classic French, cultivated and passed on over many years of teaching and learning. We have a deep respect for fresh and natural ingredients that come from local waters and nearby farms. You will learn more about our philosophy on food by viewing the Chef section of this website.

The Pearl is certainly not a large restaurant by Outer Banks standards and should not be considered “fast”. It is the only one, the only true oceanfront restaurant on the beach.
